Tahoe Donner Association Nature Loop Trail Improvement

Live Oak Associates completed an investigation of the biotic resources of the project area and prepared a biological assessment which evaluated project impacts that would result from impacts of the project, per provisions of the Federal Endangered Species Act.

The biological assessment then determined to what extent the proposed action may affect any of the federally threatened, endangered, proposed, or sensitive species and designated or proposed critical habitats within the vicinity. It analyzed impacts to:

  • Lahontan cutthroat trout

  • Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog

  • Sierra Nevada red fox

  • Fisher (West Coast Distinct Population Segment)

  • Wolverine

Live Oak Associates also completed wildlife pre-construction surveys prior to the start or work.
