BETHANY WOO

Assistant Project Manager | Wetland Ecologist

As a Live Oak Associates Assistant Project Manager / Wetland Ecologist, Bethany supports biological impact analysis and aquatic resource/wetland permitting efforts in coordination with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Bethany earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Marine Biology from UCLA, with a minor in Conservation Biology. During her undergraduate studies, Bethany conducted two scientific research projects with published manuscripts, which honed her fieldwork, geospatial/statistical analysis, critical thinking, and technical writing abilities. She brought this skillset into her previous role as a Biologist with Caltrans where she gained experience in CEQA/NEPA compliance and environmental permitting (i.e. 404/401, WDR, LSAA, Section 7 Consultations) for maintenance and emergency transportation projects. Bethany's field experience includes aquatic resource and wetland delineations, nesting bird surveys,  snorkel/scuba dive surveys, and dip-netting surveys.
