Jeff Gurule is a versatile wildlife biologist with knowledge in the areas of avian ecology, wildlife/habitat relationships, Sierran ecology, entomology, soil and groundwater pollution assessment and remediation, and Environmental Site Assessments. He regularly prepares CEQA/NEPA documents requiring the evaluation of habitat for special status species and analysis of environmental impacts and mitigation measures.

Mr. Gurule has worked on a number of wildlife research projects in which he gained experience in recording bird behavior data, identifying invertebrates, monitoring nest boxes with remote cameras, identifying and measuring vegetation, plus trapping, identifying, and marking small mammals and herps, including the Endangered Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse.

Mr. Gurule has also worked as an educator and naturalist where he has created interpretive displays, developed curriculum and special programs, and led interpretive hikes in a wide variety of California habitats.
